Already earning money? Start with an area you can bring Eggs home from. These targets give you something specific to work toward while you keep your existing Pets earning.

Income references: Sep 5, 2026. Size and mutations change what your Pet earns. These are possible hatch outcomes from each area, not guaranteed results from your next Egg.
With an empty place, add a Pet to earn there. With a full Pen, compare a new Pet’s actual $/s with the lowest earner you would replace. Use the table to choose where to try, then use the Pet’s own value to decide whether to keep it.
Before leaving, open the Index and claim any unlocked discovery rewards. Choose an Egg from your selected area, bring it home, hatch it, and place an earner. A useful result is a rise in the total income your Pen produces, even if the hatch is not your top target.
You do not have to complete Lake before trying Desert or Jungle. If several areas are manageable, try the one offering an improvement for your Pen; keep your reliable route available if repeated losses or unhelpful hatches stall progress. For targets beyond these three areas, use the Egg List below.

Choose your next money move
Use the problem you are actually facing to choose between another Egg run, Speed training, and managing your Pen.

A larger Egg can lead to a higher-paying Pet, but it can also slow your return. Choose it when you can bring it home; its size alone is not a reason to take the risk.
Treadmill training raises Speed. Treat it as help for reaching and returning with Eggs, not as a direct source of money.

Choose Pets by actual income
Read the money-per-second value ($/s) on your own Pets. Species, size, and mutations can change earnings, so a rarity label or a name alone cannot choose for you.
With an empty place, add an available Pet to start earning there. When space is limited, replace a lower earner with a higher one and keep the spare if possible.
Example: replacing a Pet earning $100/s with one earning $300/s adds $200/s, with everything else unchanged. These example values show the calculation; use your Pets’ actual rates.
A high-income Pet is a target, not a guaranteed result from your next run. Account for how often you can bring its Egg back and how long you spend finding it.

When is a harder route worth it?
Once you have a target area, compare it with the run you already complete reliably. Count Pets you brought home, hatched, and placed—not Eggs you nearly collected.
For long-term income, compare how much each route adds to your Pen’s $/s. If a new Pet replaces an old one, subtract the old Pet’s income. Count failed runs, waiting, and training in the time spent.
Example: in 10 minutes, one route adds three Pets at $100/s each; another adds one at $200/s. With empty places for all of them, the first adds $300/s and the second $200/s. This compares income at the end, not the cash earned during those 10 minutes.
If you need money for a purchase now, compare cash earned and spending separately. Pets placed earlier have more time to earn, and upgrade costs reduce the money you have left. Keep your next planned purchase in mind.

Before you fuse or sell a Pet
Protect the income you rely on. One Pet becoming stronger does not, by itself, tell you whether your whole Pen will earn more.
Before committing earning Pets to Fusion, add up the $/s you would remove. Compare that total with the output if it is shown. If the result is unknown, keep your main earners and only consider spare Pets you can afford to lose.
Hypothetical example: three earning Pets at $100/s total $300/s. An output of $250/s would beat each input alone but reduce the Pen’s income by $50/s. This is a comparison example, not a fusion recipe.
Do not assume Fusion guarantees more total income or preserves a mutation. Use the current machine’s accepted inputs and result information; if it does not give you enough information, skip the attempt with valuable Pets.
If you are considering a sale, compare the offered one-time amount with the ongoing income you would give up. Selling is not a replacement for keeping your income Pets working.

Spend to solve the next obstacle
Keep a specific goal for your money: completing the return trip, finding room for an earner, or improving the Pets that are already working.
If the return trip is stopping your chosen Lake, Desert, or Jungle run, train on the treadmill. Check its upgrade control for the cost and training gain before spending. Retry the return with an Egg you can manage; keep the current income Pets in place while you train.
Check the Index after a new discovery and claim rewards that are actually available. Treat cash or Speed rewards as a bonus; do not count them as an endlessly repeatable income route.
Keep enough for the next upgrade you have chosen. Buying every optional item can delay it even when each individual purchase looks small.

Find the missing step before spending more or abandoning the run.

Frequently asked questions
Should I always chase the rarest or biggest Egg?
No. A higher potential income only helps after you bring the Egg back, hatch it, and place the Pet. Choose a manageable run, then compare the income you actually add.
Should I train Speed or hatch more Pets?
If you keep failing a clear return route, work on Speed or choose an easier Egg. If you already return reliably and have space, hatch and place more earners. Solve the current obstacle first.
Do Pets earn money while I am offline?
Treat offline cash as uncertain when planning an upgrade. Base your spending on the balance you have and the income your placed Pets earn while you play.
Is there one fastest way to get rich?
Start with the target area you can return from reliably: Lake offers Axolotl and Leviathan, Desert offers Scorpion and Royal Sphinx, and Jungle offers Tiger and King Snake. Choose by what can improve your Pen, keep useful hatches earning, and change the target if losses or poor results outweigh the gain.
